Stand mount speakers and book shelf speakers require a speaker stand support to position the listening experience to the perfect height of our customers specific requirement. Speaker stands also need to provide a complete rigid, isolating support platform for the speaker to operate at the maximum performance possible. This can be achieved through the integrity of the speaker stand design, the number of supporting columns, the engineering incorporated in to the design, the type and number of fixings, the built in specialist isolation full acoustic steel top plates. 4mm acoustic steel for resonance energy absorption and conversion with a constrained layer dampening system or the quality and thickness of materials involved, oiled and pickled steel for a quality and superior finish.
Speaker stands that are designed and manufactured by Custom Design provide the perfect isolating solution for speaker cabinets. Speaker cabinets resonate most in the centre of their cabinet, therefore the best possible isolation point would be the corners the most rigid, which resonate the least. That is why Custom Design provide a full 4mm acoustic steel isolation top plate, dimensions 200 x 320mm and provide a custom made service for our customers to achieve the best possible listening experience and sound performance from their HiFi system.
The SE (special edition) 108 Octagonal column design are manufactured from ERW EN 10305-3 steel tubes and the mass loading centre support columns can be easily mass loaded using Custom Design Inert Filler, 2 bags per centre column support recommended to start, if the bass frequency requires more control then add another 400g per column and listen again.
The Octagonal SE 108 Speaker Stand also incorporates a 4 satellite support column design representing the open frame principle with the ultimate in rigidity and performance for speaker cabinet support. The performance improvements are substantial, like all the FS range, and especially the SE 108 Special Edition Speaker Stand support, more detail to the dynamic range, spacious and open with sensitivity and inky blackness to the depth of bass with total control to the overal performance . The satellite support columns are available in Black as standard with Polished Chrome and Brushed Chrome finish optional extra. The laser precision cut, hand made and hand finished 4mm full acoustic steel isolation top plates are manufactured to 200 x 320mm x 4mm standard dimensions, custom option available on request.
