Kef R3 Speaker Stands, stand mount speakers and book shelf speakers require a speaker stand support to position the listening experience to the perfect height of our customers specific requirement. Speaker stands also need to provide a complete rigid, isolating support platform for the speaker to operate at the maximum performance possible. This can be achieved through the integrity of the speaker stand, the number of supporting columns, the engineering incorporated in to the design, the type and number of fixings, the built in specialist isolation acoustic steel, 4mm acoustic steel for resonance energy absorption and conversion or the quality and thickness of materials involved, oiled and pickled steel for a quality and superior surface finish.
The Kef R3 speaker stands are designed and manufactured by Custom Design to provide the perfect isolating solution for speaker cabinets. Speaker cabinets resonate most in the middle of the cabinet, therefore the best possible isolation point is the corners of the cabinet, which resonate the least. That is why Custom Design provide a top plate to compliment the speaker cabinet, plate dimensions 180 x 280mm and provide a custom made service for our customers to achieve the best possible listening experience and sound performance from their HiFi system.

The ERW BS EN 10305-3 76mm central column can be easily mass loaded with our Inert Filler and the 4 satellite columns combine to provide a totally rigid speaker support stand. The performance improvements are substantial, like all the FS 104 Signature XL range, and the Kef R3 Speaker Stand Support add more detail to the dynamic range which seems spacious and open compared to conventional central, mass loaded designs. Stereo imaging and precision timing provide more excitement to your listening experience all with an accurate and more controlled bass performance. The Kef R3 FS 104 Signature XL Speaker Stands are a unique, totally rigid format speaker stand design.
The satellite support columns are available in Black as standard with Chrome and Brushed Chrome finish optional extra. The laser precision cut hand finished acoustic top plates and base plates are manufactured from 4mm steel and available in 180 x 280mm standard dimensions.. They are designed to have the minimal effect on the performance of your speakers. The 5 column support design provides total integrity and a solid foundation for our customers who enjoy an exciting and dynamic performance from their speakers and equipment.

Custom Design provide No top plate fixing holes to the Kef R3 cabinet, the top plate fits the Kef R3 speaker cabinet to provide a perfect, stable, resonance free platform. Isolating in the corners of the cabinet, strongest positions of the Kef R3 cabinet and the area of least resonance. At Custom Design we believe fixing the cabinet to the speaker stand ha as detrimental effect upon your sound performance. The interface resonance created by fixing the cabinet to the top plate defeats the principle of the speaker stand support principle, the speaker cabinet resonates most at the centre point, by not allowing your speaker cabinet to breath the performance will be restricted and detrimental to your sound performance.
Rigidity is proven integral design feature which improves sound performance. The Custom Design philosophy of multi column supports provides superior sound quality and performance over traditional single column support design speaker stands.
