This can be achieved through the integrity of the speaker stand, the number of supporting columns, the engineering incorporated in to the design, the type and number of fixings, the built in specialist isolation acoustic steel, 4mm acoustic steel for resonance energy absorption and conversion or the quality and thickness of materials involved, oiled and pickled steel for a quality and superior surface finish.
The TPI Type RN1 speaker stands are designed and manufactured by Custom Design to provide the perfect isolating solution for speaker cabinets. Speaker cabinets resonate most in the middle of the cabinet, therefore the best possible isolation point is the corners of the cabinet, which resonate the least. That is why Custom Design provide a top plate to compliment the speaker cabinet, plate dimensions 240 x 290mm and provide a custom made service for our customers to achieve the best possible listening experience and sound performance from their HiFi system.

The laser precision cut hand finished acoustic steel top plates 240 x 290 x 4mm and complimenting 6mm CR4 steel base plates are manufactured to support the TPI Type RN1 speaker perfectly. Combined with the 4 column support, the SQ 404 TPI Type RN1 design provides total integrity and a solid foundation for our customers who enjoy performance from their speakers and equipment.
Custom Design do not use Aluminium in the construction of any speaker stand designs. The natural properties of aluminium prevent speaker stands from performing to the best of their ability as mechanical feedback can be prevented, just like over mass loading. Which will result in reducing the dynamic range and the depth of bass frequency.
